• Hobbyist and light professional craft projects

Key specifications

• Quantity: 8 pieces in the set
• Intended material: glass and similar hard surfaces
• Compatibility: designed for use with Dremel rotary tools (for example DREMEL 3000)
• Application: precision engraving, fine detailing and lettering

How to use

Select a suitable engraving bit from the set and securely attach it to the collet of a compatible Dremel rotary tool. Set the tool speed appropriate to glass engraving—typically a moderate to high speed depending on the bit and desired effect—and hold the tool steadily while guiding the tip along the intended pattern. Apply light, consistent pressure and make multiple shallow passes rather than forcing deep cuts in a single pass. Use appropriate clamping or support to stabilize the workpiece and protect surrounding areas from slips.

Recommendations

Wear safety glasses and a dust mask when engraving glass. Work in a well-lit, ventilated area and secure small items in a clamp or vise. Begin with practice pieces to become familiar with bit behavior and optimal speed settings before working on final items.
