Patchpanel Extralink CAT6 UTP 0.5U 24 poorten

The Extralink Patch Panel CAT6 UTP 0.5U 24 Port is a compact rack-mounted termination panel designed for structured cabling in 19" racks. It offers 24 RJ-45 ports compatible with Cat6 UTP cabling and provides a space-saving 0.5U height that allows two panels to occupy a single 1U rack unit. The panel is finished in black and intended to organize and centralize horizontal cable terminations for reliable ethernet connections between patchcords and active network equipment.

Advantages

This patch panel supports Cat6 UTP connections and uses standard RJ-45 ports to maintain industry cabling standards and compatibility with existing patchcords. Its 0.5U height optimizes rack space, enabling higher port density per rack unit. The unit simplifies cable management by providing a clear termination point for horizontal cabling, and it is compatible with standard 19" rack mounting hardware and assembly screws used for active devices.

Suitable for

• Office network racks requiring high port density in limited rack space
• Server rooms and telecommunications cabinets for horizontal cable termination
• Structured cabling installations using Cat6 UTP cabling
• Network closets where two 0.5U panels are combined to provide 48 ports in 1U

Key specifications

• Number of ports: 24 RJ-45
• Cable category supported: Cat6 (UTP, unshielded twisted pair)
• Rack height: 0.5U (half unit)
• Rack width: 482.6 mm (standard 19" compatible)
• Color: Black

How to use

Mount the patch panel into a standard 19" rack using the same screws and mounting points as for active devices. Terminate each incoming horizontal cable pair onto the corresponding IDC or punch-down block on the rear of the panel using a punch-down tool, following the chosen wiring scheme (T568A or T568B) to maintain consistent pinouts. Connect patchcords from the front RJ-45 ports to switches, routers or other active equipment to establish network links. Label ports as needed to document connections and simplify future maintenance.

Recommendations

Use appropriately rated Cat6 patchcords and follow consistent wiring standards (T568A or T568B) across the installation. Keep cable runs neat with cable management accessories and avoid sharp bends or excessive tension on terminated cables to preserve signal integrity.
