Glasvezelkabel M-Cab 7003403 3 m LC paars

The M-Cab 7003403 3 m LC Violet is an OM4 multimode fibre optic patch cable designed for high-speed short-range connections. With LC connectors on both ends and a 50 µm core diameter, the cable supports full duplex transmission for reliable data exchange in dense networking environments. Its 3 metre length and violet jacket provide a balance between manageability and reach, suitable for structured cabling in racks, patch panels and equipment interconnects.

Advantages

This OM4 fibre optic cable enables high bandwidth and low attenuation across short distances, helping maintain signal integrity in data centre and server-room installations. The LC–LC connector configuration offers a compact footprint and compatibility with standard LC ports, while the multimode 50 µm core supports high-speed applications such as 10GbE and higher over campus and intra-rack links. The violet jacket aids visual identification and cable management in mixed-fibre environments.

Suitable for

• Patching between switches and servers in data centres
• Connection of network equipment in server racks and cabinets
• High-speed multimode links such as 10 Gigabit Ethernet
• Structured cabling for enterprise LANs and campus networks

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM4 multimode
• Connector type: LC to LC (both ends)
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Cable length: 3 m
• Duplex: Full duplex
• Jacket colour: Violet

How to use

Route the 3 m LC–LC fibre cable between the two LC-compatible ports, ensuring minimum bending radius is respected and connectors are clean before insertion. Remove protective caps from each connector, align the keyed LC connector with the adapter or port, and push until it clicks to secure the connection. For full duplex links, maintain separate transmit and receive paths as required by the equipment. After installation, label both ends if needed for future maintenance and perform optical tests to verify signal levels and link integrity.

Recommendations

Inspect and clean LC connector endfaces with appropriate fibre cleaning tools prior to every connection. Avoid tight bends and mechanical stress on the cable; follow manufacturer-specified minimum bend radius. Use colour-coded jackets and labels to distinguish multimode OM4 links from other fibre types, and verify compatibility with transceivers and patch panels used in the network.
