Bosch EasySander 18V-8 draadloze excenterschuurmachine

Bosch EasySander 18V-8 is a cordless orbital sander designed for finishing and surface preparation on wood, painted and composite materials. Powered by an 18 V, 2.5 Ah battery, it delivers up to 22,000 oscillations per minute with a 1.6 mm orbit diameter and a 105 mm sanding pad. The compact dimensions (284×105×145 mm) and lightweight construction (1.2 kg) make the tool suitable for handheld sanding of medium-sized flat surfaces, as well as for working into corners and along edges. The integrated Microfilter dust box and hook-and-loop fastening enable quick paper changes and reduced dust during operation. This sander is part of the Bosch 18V POWER FOR ALL system and uses Bosch Syneon Technology for optimized power management.

Advantages

The ergonomic design and balanced battery position provide comfortable handling and reduced user fatigue during longer tasks. Its 105 mm pad with a 1.6 mm orbit diameter ensures even surface finish on hardwood, softwood, varnished and painted substrates. The Microfilter dust box collects dust for a cleaner work area and the hook-and-loop fastening makes abrasive replacement fast and secure. Battery compatibility within the Bosch 18V POWER FOR ALL family and Syneon Technology deliver a balance between runtime and performance depending on the work demand.

Suitable for

• Sanding doors, furniture panels and cabinets
• Preparing painted surfaces for refinishing and touch-ups
• Smoothing edges and working in corners on medium-sized flat panels
• Surface finishing on hardwood and softwood components

How to use

Fit the appropriate grit sanding paper to the 105 mm pad using the hook-and-loop fastening, ensuring it is centred and securely attached. Install the charged 18 V battery into the tool and select the working stance that offers stable control. Switch the sander on and move it with steady, overlapping passes across the surface, applying light consistent pressure; allow the orbital motion to perform the cutting action rather than forcing the tool. For edges and corners, use careful, controlled movements to avoid gouging. Periodically check and empty the Microfilter dust box to maintain suction and a cleaner work area.

Recommendations

Use progressively finer grit papers for a smoother finish—start with coarser grits for material removal and move to finer grits for finishing. For painted or varnished surfaces, test on a small area first to select the correct grit and avoid damage. Store the battery according to Bosch guidelines and use compatible 18V POWER FOR ALL batteries to ensure optimum runtime and tool life.
