Canon cassette-eenheid, 2

Canon's Cassette Unit Type 2 sets itself apart with a seamless bottom-mounted design that integrates directly into the imageRUNNER ADVANCE chassis, adding a full 550-sheet tray without increasing the printer's footprint. Unlike generic third-party trays, this unit is engineered to the exact tolerances of Canon's C2020, C2025, C2030, C2220, C2225, and C2230 series, ensuring reliable paper feed and automatic size detection from day one.

Highlights

• Adds one 550-sheet paper tray, expanding total input capacity for longer unattended print runs.
• Supports a wide range of media: A3, A4, A4R, A5, B4, B5, B5R, Letter, Legal, Executive, Statement, and custom sizes from 99 x 148 mm to 304.8 x 457.2 mm.
• Handles paper weights from 60 to 220 gsm, including plain, recycled, color, heavy, pre-punched, transparencies, envelopes, and labels.
• Automatic paper size detection and low-paper sensor reduce user intervention and misfeeds.
• Powered directly by the main printer unit—no separate power supply or cables required.

In daily use

Once installed, the cassette becomes a native part of the printer's paper handling system. Users can load a different paper type or size in the additional tray and select it from the driver without opening the main paper drawers. The low-paper sensor alerts operators before the tray runs empty, and the automatic size detection eliminates manual configuration errors. The unit's plastic and metal construction matches the durability of the host printer, and its white/grey finish blends with the machine's exterior.
