Switch Longshine LCS-GS7108-E 8-poorts Gigabit Ethernet unmanaged switch

Longshine LCS-GS7108-E is an 8-port Gigabit Ethernet unmanaged switch designed to expand wired networks in small offices, retail environments and homes. The device offers eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 ports that support plug-and-play operation without requiring configuration. Built to provide straightforward connectivity for PCs, printers and IP devices, the switch supports automatic MDI/MDI-X crossover and speed negotiation to simplify installation and reduce cable-configuration tasks.

Advantages

The switch delivers reliable wired Gigabit connectivity across eight ports with no management overhead, enabling fast file transfers and stable device connections. Its unmanaged design eliminates the need for setup or management software, while auto MDI/MDI-X and speed negotiation ensure compatibility with a variety of network devices and cabling. Compact form and silent operation make it suitable for placement in small spaces and user environments where simplicity and low maintenance are priorities.

Suitable for

• Small office networks requiring additional wired ports
• Retail point-of-sale and back-office device connectivity
• Home networks connecting computers, NAS, smart TVs and printers
• Connecting IP devices such as IP phones and security cameras (when PoE is not required)

Key specifications

• Number of ports: 8 x RJ-45
• Port speed: 10/100/1000 Mbps per port
• Operation mode: Unmanaged, plug-and-play
• Auto features: Auto MDI/MDI-X and auto speed negotiation
• Intended use: Desktop or shelf-mounted small network expansion

How to use

Connect the switch to a power outlet and link your router or existing network switch to any of the RJ-45 ports using standard Ethernet cables. Attach computers, printers and other network devices to the remaining ports. The device will automatically detect link speed and polarity; no configuration or management interface is required. For best results, use Category 5e or higher cabling to achieve Gigabit speeds where supported by connected devices.

Recommendations

Place the switch in a well-ventilated, dry location and avoid stacking heavy equipment on top. Use shielded or higher-grade Ethernet cabling in environments with electrical interference. If you require VLANs, traffic prioritization, or Power over Ethernet (PoE), consider a managed switch or a model with PoE support instead of this unmanaged unit.
