Stopcontactschakelaar MicroConnect MC-PLUGOOEU1+2FRW EU-type

MicroConnect MC-PLUGOOEU1+2FRW is a compact plug on/off switch designed for EU-type sockets, providing a simple inline control to interrupt or restore mains power to connected devices without rewiring. The unit fits directly between a standard EU plug and the socket, offering a convenient way to switch lamps, small appliances and electronic devices on or off while maintaining the original plug and cable intact. Its compact footprint makes it suitable for use at home, in the office or in temporary setups where quick manual power control is needed.

Advantages

The plug on/off switch offers a straightforward mechanical toggle that requires no installation tools or electrical knowledge. By placing the control at the socket, it reduces wear on device power switches and enables quick disconnection for safety or energy saving. The compact design keeps the plug and switch assembly unobtrusive, and compatibility with EU-type plugs ensures broad usability across standard European mains-powered appliances. The product is portable and can be moved between sockets or locations as required.

Suitable for

• Lamps and lighting with standard EU plugs
• Small kitchen appliances that require manual on/off control
• Consumer electronics such as chargers, radios or small speakers
• Temporary installations and trade show or workshop setups
• Situations where an accessible power cut-off is needed for safety or energy conservation

Key specifications

How to use

Insert the appliance’s EU plug into the female inlet of the MicroConnect plug on/off switch, then plug the switch’s integrated plug into the wall socket. Use the mechanical toggle to switch power to the connected device on or off as required. Ensure the switch and the connected appliance are rated for the local mains voltage and that the plug is fully inserted before operating the toggle. Disconnect from the mains before handling the plug or switch for cleaning or inspection.

Recommendations

Use the plug on/off switch only with devices that do not require uninterrupted power or a dedicated earth connection through the plug assembly. Avoid using the inline switch with high-power appliances that exceed normal household outlet ratings and do not expose the unit to moisture or outdoor conditions. For long-term or permanent installations, consult qualified electrical services to ensure compliance with local safety regulations.
