The Bahco 7800SM-36 impact socket is a 36 mm drive accessory engineered for heavy-duty fastening tasks. Made to withstand repeated high-torque impacts, this impact socket combines a compact 340 g design with a focus on durability and accurate fitment. It is suitable for service environments where secure grip and reliable torque transfer are required, such as automotive repair, maintenance workshops and industrial assembly.

Advantages

This impact socket offers robust construction that resists deformation under impact loads and provides consistent engagement with hex fasteners. Its 36 mm size ensures compatibility with common large fasteners while the optimized wall thickness balances strength and accessibility in confined spaces. The socket’s finish reduces corrosion risk and supports long service life in workshop conditions.

Suitable for

• Automotive wheel and suspension fasteners
• Heavy machinery maintenance and repair
• Industrial assembly and plant maintenance
• Professional mechanic toolkits and advanced DIY projects

Key specifications

• Socket size: 36 mm
• Type: impact socket for high-torque applications
• Weight: approximately 340 g
• Material characteristics: heavy-duty impact-rated alloy steel (manufactured to impact tool standards)
• Drive compatibility: designed for impact wrenches and impact drivers
• Finish: protective surface treatment to resist corrosion

How to use

Select the 36 mm impact socket for fasteners that match the socket size. Attach the socket to a compatible impact wrench or driver, ensuring a secure detent or pin connection if required by the tool. Position the socket squarely on the fastener before applying torque. Use controlled short bursts of the impact tool to avoid over-torquing and to maintain tool control. After use, inspect the socket for wear or cracks and store it in a dry place to preserve the finish.

Recommendations

Use the Bahco 7800SM-36 only with tools and fasteners rated for impact service. Avoid using the socket with hand-only ratchets intended for non-impact sockets. Regularly inspect and replace impact sockets that show signs of cracking, mushrooming, or excessive wear to maintain safety and performance.
