Schroef Fischer 670379 60 mm 500 stk.

FISCHER 60 mm wood screws are metal fasteners designed for reliable connections in a range of woodworking projects. Each screw measures 60 mm in total length with a threaded portion of 36 mm and a 5 mm diameter, supplied in a pack of 500 pieces. These screws are suitable for joining timber elements, securing fittings to wood, and general carpentry tasks where a medium-length, robust screw is required.

Advantages

These metal wood screws provide consistent thread engagement and mechanical strength for secure joints. The 5 mm diameter offers resistance to shear and pull-out forces, while the 36 mm thread length enables good grip in standard timber thicknesses. Supplied in a bulk pack of 500 pieces, they reduce downtime for repetitive assembly work and are convenient for professional and DIY use.

Suitable for

• Furniture assembly and repair
• Wood framing and joinery
• Fixing hinges, brackets, and fittings to wooden substrates
• DIY carpentry and renovation projects

Key specifications

• Material: metal
• Total length: 60 mm
• Thread length: 36 mm
• Diameter: 5 mm
• Pack quantity: 500 pieces

How to use

Choose a screw of appropriate length for the combined thickness of the materials being joined, ensuring sufficient thread engagement without protrusion. Pre-drill pilot holes in dense or brittle wood to prevent splitting; use a drill bit slightly smaller than the screw core diameter. Drive screws using a compatible bit in a screwdriver or drill/driver, applying steady pressure and controlled speed to avoid cam-out. For repeated installation, organize screws by size and keep the pack sealed to prevent loss and contamination.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, match screw length to material thickness so the threaded portion sits fully within the wood. In exterior or high-moisture environments, use additional corrosion protection or select coated fasteners appropriate for outdoor use. When working near edges, pre-drilling reduces the risk of splitting; when securing hardware, ensure screws are driven straight and tightened to a firm but not overtightened torque.
