Schildersafplakband 3M 7100042982

The 3M 7100042982 painters masking tape is a beige paper tape engineered for indoor painting tasks. With a length of 50 m, width of 72 mm and a paper thickness of 0.15 mm, this tape is intended to produce straight, clean paint lines and to be applied and removed cleanly from many interior surfaces. It is suitable for temporary masking around trim, windows, door frames and other fixtures where paint bleed needs to be avoided.

Advantages

This painters masking tape combines easy handling with reliable adhesion and residue-free removal. The tape's paper backing conforms to curved and irregular surfaces while maintaining a consistent edge for painting. The balance of tack and removability allows for secure application during typical indoor painting cycles and clean detachment without surface damage when removed within the recommended timeframe.

How to use

Clean and dry the surface before applying the tape to ensure proper adhesion. Unroll the tape and press it firmly along the edge to be masked, ensuring the tape forms a continuous seal against the surface. Apply paint as required and allow appropriate drying time. Remove the tape by pulling it back slowly at a low angle while the paint is either fully dry or within the manufacturer's recommended removal window to minimize the risk of lifting paint or leaving residue.

Recommendations

For best results on interior surfaces, test adhesion on a small inconspicuous area first. Avoid prolonged outdoor exposure or use on very delicate painted surfaces beyond the recommended removal time to prevent surface damage. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to maintain adhesive properties.
