Papiervernietiger HSM Securio C16

The HSM Securio C16 is an entry-level personal/home office paper shredder designed for 1 to 3 users. It performs strip shredding with a working width of 22.5 cm and a shred size of 3.9 mm, supporting quiet operation at approximately 55 dB and a power rating of 300 W. The unit is compact and lightweight (366 x 258 x 455 mm, 4 kg), includes automatic start/stop, auto-reverse for paper jams, and can shred credit cards and store cards.

Advantages

The machine features automatic start/stop and an auto-reverse function to clear paper jams; a multifunction reverse button allows continued operation after reversing. A folding safety element with contact protection halts operation when pressure is applied. The waste bin has a level indicator visible through an inspection window and a handle recess on the top for easier lifting when emptying. The shredder also stops automatically when the shredded material is removed and offers Zero Energy Stand-by (ZES) to ensure no power is consumed in stand-by. The product is manufactured in Germany.

How to use

Place the HSM Securio C16 on a stable, level surface and connect it to a suitable power outlet. Feed paper into the feed slot; the device will start automatically. In case of a paper jam, use the reverse function—pressing the reverse button again resumes normal shredding. When the waste bin reaches the visible level in the inspection window, lift the top using the handle recess and empty the bin; the unit stops automatically when the shredded material is removed. For cards, feed them individually according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

Recommendations

The HSM Securio C16 is recommended for light to moderate daily use in personal or home office settings. Avoid overfeeding the shredder; follow the visible level indicator to prevent jams. Use the auto-reverse and multifunction button to clear obstructions and ensure the folding safety element is not obstructed during operation.
