Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 5m

The ShiverPeaks BASIC-S Cat7 networking cable 5m is a shielded Ethernet cable designed for reliable high-speed data transmission in home and office networks. The cable is 5 meters long, terminated with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, and uses U/FTP (STP) shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. The green jacket provides an identifiable color for cable routing and installation.

Advantages

This Cat7 cable offers improved signal integrity through foil-shielded twisted pairs and an overall braided or foil outer shield, which helps maintain stable connections in environments with potential interference from nearby electrical equipment. The RJ-45 connectors ensure compatibility with common network devices such as switches, routers and network interface cards. At 5 meters, the cable balances reach and performance for typical desk-to-wall or rack-to-equipment connections.

Suitable for

• Connecting desktop computers, laptops or networked printers to a router or switch
• Home network wiring where reduced interference is required
• Office workstations and small server rack connections
• High-bandwidth applications such as HD video streaming and large file transfers

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat7
• Shielding: U/FTP (each pair foil-shielded with overall shield)
• Length: 5 meters
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Conductor type: stranded or solid copper (design for flexible installation and reliable contacts)
• Jacket color: green

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the Ethernet port of your device and the other into a router, switch or wall outlet. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the locking tab clicks to secure the connection. When routing the cable, avoid sharp bends and excessive tension to preserve shielding and conductor integrity. For best performance keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines and sources of strong electromagnetic interference.

Recommendations

Use this Cat7 cable for setups that require reduced interference and higher bandwidth headroom. For long permanent runs or outdoor installations, select cabling rated for those conditions. Periodically inspect connectors for dust or deformation and replace the cable if physical damage is observed.
