Luidsprekerkabel PSSO 30227916 2x2,5 mm, 20 m lengte

PSSO 30227916 speaker cable is a twin-conductor audio cable with a 2x2.5 mm cross-section and a 20 m length, intended for connecting loudspeakers to amplifiers, receivers or other audio equipment. The cable is suitable for in-wall installation or surface routing and is sized to maintain reliable low-loss signal transmission on longer runs typical in domestic and small commercial audio systems. The construction balances flexibility for installation with conductor diameter chosen to support common speaker loads.

Advantages

The 2x2.5 mm conductor cross-section provides reduced resistance compared with smaller speaker cables, helping preserve audio clarity and bass response over the 20 m run. As a twin-conductor cable, it simplifies polarity identification and termination. The cable’s length and flexibility allow straightforward routing through walls, conduits or along skirting boards. Materials and conductor sizing are selected to offer an appropriate compromise between mechanical durability and ease of handling during installation.

Key specifications

How to use

Route the cable from the amplifier or receiver to the speaker positions, observing recommended polarity markings on each conductor to maintain correct phase. For in-wall installation, verify local building codes and use appropriate conduits or fire-rated protection where required. Strip insulation from conductor ends carefully and make secure mechanical or soldered connections to speaker terminals or binding posts. When running along surfaces, secure the cable at intervals with clips or trunking to prevent movement and mechanical stress on terminations.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use the full 2.5 mm² conductor for runs up to 20 m between amplifier and speaker; for significantly longer runs or very low-impedance speakers, consider increasing conductor size to reduce voltage drop. Ensure correct polarity at both ends and avoid running speaker cable in parallel with mains power cables to minimize interference.
