LANBERG FA-SCAP-SS01-0001-TR – SC/APC-simplex-singlemode-glasvezeladapter

LANBERG FA-SCAP-SS01-0001-TR is a single-mode fiber optic adapter with an SC/APC simplex interface designed to align two SC/APC connectors precisely. It supports low insertion loss and stable optical continuity, making it suitable for use in patch panels, wall plates and fiber equipment where single-mode connections are required. The adapter is compatible with typical telecommunications, data center and FTTH cabling environments and enables reliable mating of SC/APC-terminated fibers.

Advantages

The SC/APC simplex adapter offers precise ferrule alignment and a ceramic sleeve that ensures consistent optical performance with low back reflection. Its compact simplex housing is suitable for dense installation in panels and plates while maintaining mechanical stability. The design minimizes insertion loss and promotes long-term signal reliability in single-mode networks.

Suitable for

• Telecommunication trunk and backbone connections
• Data center fiber patching and cross-connects
• FTTH termination points and subscriber outlets
• Patch panels, wall plates and fiber distribution frames
• Laboratory and test bench fiber interconnections

Key specifications

• Fiber type: single-mode (SM)
• Interface: SC/APC simplex
• Connector alignment: ceramic sleeve
• Mounting style: simplex adapter for panel or plate installation
• Optical performance: low insertion loss and low back reflection typical for APC terminations
• Housing: compact, dust-resistant simplex body

How to use

Install the adapter into the appropriate cutout of a patch panel, wall plate or distribution frame, ensuring the housing is seated securely. Insert an SC/APC-terminated fiber connector into each side of the adapter until a tactile stop is felt. Verify optical continuity and measure insertion loss using test equipment if required. Avoid excessive lateral force on the connector ferrules while mated and keep dust caps on unused ports.

Recommendations

Handle connectors and the adapter with clean, lint-free tools to prevent contamination. Use SC/APC connectors only on the adapter to maintain low back reflection. For optimal longevity, inspect and clean connector endfaces before each mating and avoid mating with damaged or unmated ferrules.
