L-vormige inbussleutel Wiha 24305

The Wiha 24305 L-shaped hex key is an imperial-size Allen key with a long arm of 16.3 cm and a short arm of 3.3 cm, designed for inserting and removing hex inch screws. Its blade is made of chrome-vanadium steel, through-hardened and chrome-plated for durability and corrosion resistance. The tool includes a MagicRing® spring-steel retainer that holds standard screws securely at various angles and a ball end that permits operation up to 25°.

Advantages

The chrome-vanadium, through-hardened blade provides strength and wear resistance while the chrome plating reduces corrosion. The MagicRing® feature keeps screws attached to the key for one-handed operation in tight or hard-to-reach places. The ball end allows angled access up to 25°, increasing versatility when working in confined areas. The L-shaped form offers good leverage: the long arm for reach and torque, the short arm for compact use.

How to use

Insert the short or long arm tip into the head of the hex inch screw and apply steady torque to tighten or loosen. Use the long arm for greater reach and torque, or the short arm when space is limited. The MagicRing® will help hold the screw on the key during insertion; the ball end lets you engage the screw at angles up to 25° when direct alignment is not possible. Keep force controlled to avoid rounding the screw head.

Recommendations

Use appropriate-sized imperial hex keys to avoid damage to the screw or tool, inspect the blade and MagicRing® before use, and store the key dry to maintain the chrome plating. For maximum life, avoid using excessive leverage or impact on the tool.
