Krimpkous DeLOCK 18974 zwart 1 m

The DeLOCK 18974 heat shrink tube is a 1 m long polyolefin sleeve with a maximum diameter of 1 cm designed to insulate and protect electrical wires, cables and connections. The black colour helps with cable identification and gives a low-profile, professional finish. When exposed to heat the tube shrinks to form a tight, protective layer that resists mechanical wear and weather effects.

Advantages

The polyolefin construction provides reliable electrical insulation and good mechanical strength. The 1 m length and 1 cm maximum diameter make it suitable for a variety of cable sizes. Black colouring reduces visibility of joints and aids in organized installations. Shrink performance ensures a snug fit around irregular shapes and connections.

Suitable for

• Insulating and protecting single wires and cable splices
• Securing and tidying cable bundles
• Protection of connectors and soldered joints from moisture and abrasion

How to use

Cut the heat shrink tube to the required length, slide it over the cable, splice or connector, then apply heat evenly using a heat gun, lighter or hot-air tool until the tube has visibly contracted and formed a tight seal. Allow the tube to cool so it hardens and secures the insulation. Ensure proper safety precautions when working with heat sources and live circuits.

Recommendations

For best results, use a regulated heat gun and apply heat evenly while keeping the gun moving to avoid overheating. Select a tube diameter slightly larger than the unshrunk cable to allow easy installation before shrinking.
