Kabel-adapter ShiverPeaks BS71200

The ShiverPeaks BS71200 cable gender changer is a compact adapter that converts between TAE-F and RJ-11 connectors, enabling compatibility between legacy telephone equipment and modern telephone or modem ports. Its black housing is designed for unobtrusive installation on desks, behind equipment racks, or near wall sockets. Contacts are plated with nickel and gold to provide improved conductivity and resistance to corrosion for stable signal transmission.

Advantages

The adapter’s combination of nickel and gold plated contacts reduces contact resistance and improves long-term reliability. Its small form factor and standard connector types allow quick, tool-free connection of devices with mismatched telephone interfaces. The black finish offers a discreet appearance that blends into typical home and office environments, while durable contact plating supports frequent reconnections without rapid wear.

Suitable for

• Connecting legacy TAE-F telephone devices to RJ-11 wall jacks or equipment
• Temporary or permanent adaptation between different telephone connector standards
• Modems, fax machines, and voice telephony devices requiring interface conversion

Key specifications

• Connector types: TAE-F to RJ-11
• Contact plating: nickel and gold
• Housing color: black
• Form factor: inline gender changer adapter

How to use

Insert the TAE-F connector into the matching socket on the telephone device, and plug the RJ-11 end into the wall jack or equipment port. Ensure connectors are fully seated to establish a reliable electrical contact. No additional tools or configuration are required; the adapter functions as a passive interface component that carries standard analog telephone signals.

Recommendations

For best results, keep contacts clean and avoid excessive bending or tension on connected cables. Use the adapter in dry indoor environments and avoid exposure to corrosive atmospheres. If frequent plugging cycles are expected, periodically inspect the connector plating for wear and replace the adapter if signal quality degrades.
