HDMI AV-extender VivoLink VLHDMIEXT3-T

VivoLink VLHDMIEXT3-T is a transmitter unit for extending HDMI audio/video and IR control signals over a single network cable. Designed to work with the VLHDMIEXT3-R receiver, the transmitter supports Full HD video at up to 1080P@60 Hz and can carry AV and IR signals up to 150 meters via Cat 6 cable. It is intended for installations such as private homes, shops, offices or any location requiring HDMI extension and remote IR control. This product is not compatible with HDBaseT receivers.

Advantages

The unit supports PoE power or can be powered via the included USB-C to A cable, simplifying installation where local power is limited. It transmits Full HD 1080P@60 Hz reliably over long distances and includes IR transmitter/receiver support for remote control of source devices. The design allows one transmitter to serve multiple receivers through a Gigabit switch, with each receiver consuming approximately 18 Mbit of bandwidth.

Suitable for

• Extending HDMI and IR signals in homes and private AV setups
• Digital signage and information screens in shops or public areas
• Conference rooms and classrooms requiring remote source control
• Installations where HDMI needs to be run over long distances (up to 150 m)

Key specifications

• Maximum supported resolution: 1080P@60 Hz
• Maximum transmission distance over Cat 6: 150 meters
• Power options: PoE or USB-C (via included USB-C to A cable)
• IR support: IR transmitter and IR receiver included for remote control
• Network topology: Point-to-point Tx to Rx; signal can be split to multiple receivers through a Gigabit switch
• Bandwidth per receiver: approximately 18 Mbit

How to use

Connect the HDMI source to the transmitter HDMI input and connect the transmitter to the receiver using a Cat 6 cable up to 150 m. Power the transmitter either via PoE from a compatible network switch or with the provided USB-C to A cable. If multiple displays are required, connect a Gigabit switch between the transmitter and receivers; the transmitter will distribute the signal to connected VLHDMIEXT3-R receivers. Ensure the receiver units are compatible VLHDMIEXT3-R models and note that the system is not compatible with HDBaseT devices.

Recommendations

For best performance use high-quality Cat 6 cable and a Gigabit switch when splitting the signal to multiple receivers. Place IR transmitter and receiver in clear line of sight for reliable remote control operation.
