HDMI-adapter e+p HDMI 7 zwart

The e+p HDMI 7 Black gender changer is an inline HDMI adapter designed to connect two standard HDMI cables directly. Its compact, black housing provides a low-profile connection point for extending HDMI runs where a single longer cable is preferred over adding a new continuous cable. The adapter maintains the typical HDMI connector form factor and is suitable for home theater systems, monitors, projectors and other AV equipment that use standard HDMI plugs.

Advantages

The adapter offers a simple and reliable mechanical solution to join two HDMI cables without introducing active electronics. Its solid build reduces connector wobble and helps preserve a stable physical connection. The passive design avoids the need for external power and minimizes potential points of signal conversion or interference when used with compatible HDMI cables.

Suitable for

• Extending HDMI cable length in home theater installations
• Connecting HDMI-equipped monitors and projectors to existing cables
• Temporary AV setups where a quick cable join is needed
• Workshops or offices that require flexible cable management

Key specifications

• Connector type: HDMI female to HDMI female inline adapter
• Form factor: compact, inline coupler with black housing
• Compatibility: standard HDMI plug form factor (type A)
• Signal handling: passive, mechanical coupling (no active electronics)
• Intended use: for joining two HDMI cables to extend run length

How to use

To use the HDMI gender changer, align the HDMI plug of one cable with one female end of the adapter and push firmly until it seats. Repeat with the second HDMI cable on the opposite end. Ensure both connections are fully inserted to maintain a stable signal path. If the resulting combined cable run is long, verify that the overall cable length and the quality of the connected cables support the required HDMI resolution and refresh rate.

Recommendations

Use high-quality, well-shielded HDMI cables and avoid exceeding recommended maximum cable lengths for your desired resolution. For 4K or high-bandwidth applications, prefer shorter runs or active/extender solutions if long distances are necessary. Inspect connections periodically to ensure a secure mechanical fit and replace the adapter if any physical damage or intermittent signal loss occurs.
