Handheld-mobiele computer Datalogic Skorpio X5, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB, 4,3" 800 x 480 TFT, Android 10

The Datalogic Skorpio X5 handheld mobile computer is an ultra-rugged, key-based portable data terminal with a 4.3" multi-touch Gorilla Glass display and a high-performance Qualcomm Snapdragon platform. Designed for retail, transportation & logistics, manufacturing and healthcare, it offers a range of Datalogic scan engines (Linear, 2D Standard, Mid-Range and Extra-Long Range XLR) to read barcodes from close up to very long distances. The device supports Android 10 with Google Mobile Services, provides hot-swappable battery capability, optional wireless contactless charging, and is built to withstand drops, dust and water to meet demanding enterprise use.

Advantages

The Skorpio X5 provides extensive scanning flexibility with the market’s largest selection of scan engines, including an XLR imager for reading codes up to 20 m. It combines high CPU performance for simultaneous, demanding applications, a bright 4.3" Gorilla Glass touchscreen for excellent readability in any lighting, and rugged design elements (drop resistance, IP65, optional rubber boot and bumpers). Models with contactless wireless charging reduce maintenance related to charging contacts, while hot-swappable batteries and advanced power management support long shifts.

How to use

Power on the Skorpio X5 and complete initial Android setup with your enterprise account and MDM configuration. Choose the scan engine and keypad layout that fit your workflow. For barcode capture, point the chosen imager toward the code and press the assigned scan key or use the soft spot; the device will decode codes from close range up to the XLR maximum distance without additional configuration. Use hot-swappable batteries for uninterrupted shifts and, if available, place the device on a contactless charger between uses to maintain charge and reduce wear on physical contacts. Mount or stow the device in an appropriate holder when not in use.

Recommendations

For longest service life and best performance, use the optional rubber boot on XLR models in harsh environments, keep firmware and Android security updates current, and follow Datalogic guidelines for battery care and charging. Choose the scan engine that matches your typical reading distances to optimize speed and accuracy.
