The DeLOCK FireWire A/A Cable (3.0 m) allows connection of FireWire devices with 6‑pin ports — for example camcorders or external enclosures — to a computer's 6‑pin FireWire interface. The cable is 3 metres long, has male‑to‑male connectors and is finished in grey to match a variety of setups.

Advantages

This 3.0 m FireWire A/A cable provides a direct 6‑pin male‑to‑male connection for high‑speed data transfer between compatible devices. Its length offers flexibility in device placement, while the grey colour integrates unobtrusively into home or studio environments. The cable is designed for reliable, stable connections with standard FireWire equipment.

How to use

Plug one 6‑pin male FireWire connector into the FireWire port of your device (e.g., camcorder or external enclosure) and the other end into the 6‑pin FireWire port on your computer. Ensure both devices are powered according to their manufacturer instructions before data transfer. Verify the connection in your operating system or device software to confirm successful link and data recognition.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, avoid sharp bends and excessive stretching of the cable. Use the 3 m length to position devices to reduce strain on ports and connectors. If transfer errors occur, check both device drivers and connections before replacing the cable.
