Equip LC/LC glasvezel-patchkabel, OM3, 5,0 m

The Equip LC/LC Fiber Optic Patch Cable OM3 5.0m is a multimode fiber patch cord with a 50 µm core diameter, designed for high-speed data transmission and full duplex communication. With LC connectors on both ends and an OM3 rating, it is intended for short- to medium-distance network links where reliable optical performance and low insertion loss are required.

Advantages

This fiber optic patch cable is manufactured from quality materials to provide consistent insertion loss, good return loss, and precise endface geometry. The LC/LC connector configuration and OM3 multimode specification support higher bandwidth applications and reliable connections in data centres, server rooms, and enterprise networks.

Suitable for

• Short- to medium-distance multimode links (e.g., within racks and between switches)
• Data centre and server room cabling
• High-speed Ethernet and Fibre Channel connections using LC connectors
• Patch panels and optical distribution frames

Key specifications

• Type: Multimode fiber optic patch cable (OM3)
• Length: 5.0 m
• Core diameter: 50 µm
• Connector type: LC to LC (duplex)
• Brand: EQUIP
• Manufacturer part number (MPN): 255415

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces before installation to ensure they are clean and free of dust. Align the LC connectors with the optical ports and insert them until they click into place, ensuring correct polarity for duplex links. Avoid sharp bends in the cable and secure it with appropriate cable management to prevent strain. For removal, depress the LC latch and gently pull the connector straight out.

Recommendations

For best performance, use this OM3 LC/LC patch cable within its multimode distance limits and maintain clean connector endfaces. Use fibre cleaning tools and follow fibre handling guidelines to minimise insertion loss and return loss over the cable lifetime.
