DeLOCK glasvezelkabel LC duplex naar SC duplex OM4 3m

The DeLOCK Fiber Optical Cable LC Duplex to SC Duplex OM4 3m is a multi-mode fiber patch cable with LC duplex connector on one end and SC duplex connector on the other. It uses OM4 grade multimode fiber for high-bandwidth short-range data transmission and is intended to connect networking devices such as switches, media converters and transceivers. The cable is 3 metres long and supports full-duplex communication.

Advantages

The cable features metal armouring that increases protection against physical damage, moisture, dust and rodent impact while maintaining flexibility and bendability. The OM4 multimode fibre provides improved bandwidth and lower modal dispersion compared with lower-grade multimode fibres, making it suitable for high-speed network links in data centres and enterprise networks. LC and SC duplex connectors offer compatibility with common transceivers and patch panels.

How to use

Ensure both devices are powered down or use hot-pluggable ports if supported. Align the LC duplex connector with the corresponding LC port and insert until it clicks. Align and insert the SC duplex connector into the SC port until secure. Route the cable avoiding sharp bends and excessive tension; respect the minimum bend radius for multimode fibre. After connection, power the devices and verify link status on both ends.

Recommendations

Handle the cable by the connectors and avoid touching the fiber endfaces; use dust caps when connectors are not in use. Inspect and, if necessary, clean connector endfaces before mating. Do not exceed the cable's rated tensile load and maintain bend radius to preserve optical performance.
