Datalogic PowerScan DPM Evo PM9501 - Barcodescanner

Where standard barcode scanners struggle with direct part marks, the Datalogic PowerScan DPM Evo PM9501 excels. This industrial handheld imager decodes the toughest 1D, 2D, and DPM codes on metal, plastic, and printed circuit boards, even when they are etched, dot-peened, or laser-engraved. With a rugged IP65-rated housing and 2.5 m drop resistance, it thrives in manufacturing floors, warehouses, and field service. The cordless design uses Datalogic's STAR radio system for reliable, real-time data capture up to 50 m from the base, while the high-capacity battery keeps pace with demanding shifts.

Highlights

• Decodes 1D, 2D, and Direct Part Marking (DPM) codes with a wide VGA imager
• Rugged IP65 enclosure withstands dust, moisture, and 2.5 m drops to concrete
• Cordless freedom via Datalogic STAR 433/910 MHz radio with 50 m range
• High-capacity 3350 mAh Li-Ion battery delivers up to 60,000 scans per charge
• Datalogic 'Green Spot' good-read feedback for fast, accurate confirmation

In daily use

On the production line, the PM9501 reads low-contrast DPM codes without slowing operators. The 4-dot aimer with center cross ensures precise targeting, while the red LED illumination enhances contrast on reflective surfaces. The ergonomic, balanced design reduces fatigue during long shifts, and the battery can be swapped in seconds without tools. When docked, the cradle charges the battery and provides host connectivity via USB, RS-232, keyboard wedge, or Ethernet, integrating seamlessly into existing systems.
