Boorijzer Makita DP4021 630 W

The Makita DP4021 630W drill is an electric drill built for a range of drilling tasks in wood, metal and light masonry. It combines a compact form with a 2-speed gear mechanism so the user can select higher torque for slower, punch-through work or higher speed for faster drilling. The tool features an ergonomic grip and a keyless chuck for fast bit changes, providing straightforward control and consistent performance for home maintenance, renovation and workshop applications.

Advantages

The two-speed gearbox delivers selectable torque and speed for different materials and drilling diameters. A 630W motor provides steady power for standard drilling tasks without excessive bulk. The keyless chuck simplifies bit replacement and saves time during repetitive tasks. The ergonomic handle and balanced weight distribution reduce operator fatigue during extended use. Construction and component selection prioritize reliable, long-term operation under normal working conditions.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in wood for furniture assembly and carpentry
• Drilling metal sheets and light steel components
• General household repairs and installations
• Light masonry work with appropriate drill bits and moderate depth
• Workshop tasks requiring a compact electric drill

Key specifications

• Power: 630W motor output for standard drilling operations
• Gearbox: 2-speed gear mechanism for torque/speed selection
• Chuck type: keyless chuck for quick bit changes
• Ergonomics: contoured handle for improved grip and comfort
• Application range: suitable for wood, metal and light masonry with correct bits

How to use

Choose the appropriate drill bit and insert it into the keyless chuck, then tighten according to the manufacturer's guidance. Select the low speed/ high torque setting for large-diameter holes or harder materials and the high speed/low torque setting for small-diameter holes or faster drilling. Use steady, even pressure and allow the drill to do the work; avoid forcing the bit to prevent motor overload. For drilling into masonry, select masonry bits and start with a pilot hole if needed. Keep a firm two-handed grip when drilling at higher torque or into dense materials.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as eye protection and hearing protection when operating the drill. Match drill bit type and size to the material, and monitor speed/torque selection to extend bit life and prevent overheating. Allow the motor to cool during extended continuous operation and inspect the chuck and power cord regularly for wear or damage.
