BlueOptics SRCABLE5M-BO InfiniBand-glasvezelkabel 5 m LC beige

The BlueOptics SRCABLE5M-BO InfiniBand fibre optic cable is a 5 m LC-to-LC patch cable designed for multimode OM3 networks. It supports full duplex communication and is intended for high-speed data transfer in data centre and networking environments. The cable is supplied in a beige LSZH sheath and is compatible with standard LC/UPC connectors used on InfiniBand transceivers and patch panels.

Advantages

This 5 m OM3 fibre cable provides low attenuation and high return-loss performance suitable for short-range high-bandwidth links. The LC-to-LC connectors enable simple plug-and-play connections between transceivers and patch panel ports. The LSZH outer jacket reduces halogen release and smoke in the event of fire, meeting common safety requirements for indoor data centre cabling. The cable is manufactured to industry-quality component standards and is compatible with typical InfiniBand networking equipment.

Suitable for

• Connecting InfiniBand transceivers and switches in data centres
• Linking patch panels and optical ports in server rooms
• Short-range multimode fibre links requiring OM3 performance
• High-speed data transfer and full duplex communications

Key specifications

• Cable length: 5 m
• Connector type: LC to LC (LC/UPC style)
• Fibre type: Multimode OM3
• Transmission mode: Full duplex
• Jacket material: LSZH (low smoke zero halogen)
• Colour: Beige

How to use

Inspect both LC connector endfaces before installation to ensure they are clean and undamaged. Align and insert the LC connectors into the corresponding LC ports on transceivers or patch panels until they click into place to establish full duplex optical connections. For best optical performance, avoid tight bends and kinks; maintain the manufacturer’s recommended minimum bend radius for multimode OM3 fibre. If required, verify link performance with appropriate optical test equipment.

Recommendations

Use the BlueOptics SRCABLE5M-BO for short-range OM3 multimode links in controlled indoor environments such as data centres and server rooms. Store and route the cable to avoid abrasion or sharp bends, and keep connector endfaces capped when not in use to preserve signal quality.
