AV-matrixswitch Lindy 8x8 HDMI 4K60-matrix

The Lindy 8x8 HDMI 4K60 Matrix enables switching and distribution of video and audio from up to 8 HDMI sources to 8 displays at resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 @ 60Hz, supporting HDMI 2.0b bandwidth (18 Gbit/s) and HDCP 2.2. HDR support and per-output downscaling from 4K to Full HD make it suitable for mixed-display environments. Connections include HDMI audio pass-through plus individual coaxial and 3.5 mm audio outputs, and the unit features an OLED display, robust metal housing and a maximum power consumption of 43 W.

Advantages

The matrix supports 4K60 HDR video with HDCP 2.2 compatibility, ensuring playback of protected 4K content. Per-output downscale provides compatibility with older Full HD displays while preserving the source resolution for 4K-capable screens. Multiple audio output options (HDMI passthrough, coax, 3.5 mm) and ARC support allow flexible audio routing and simplified connections to soundbars or AV systems. Physical push-button switching, IR extension and an included remote provide convenient local and remote control. Durable metal construction and an OLED display simplify operation and long-term installation use.

Configure per-output downscaling when mixing 4K and Full HD displays to ensure each screen receives the appropriate resolution. Use the coax or 3.5 mm outputs, or ARC over HDMI, to route audio to external amplifiers or soundbars.

Recommendations

For reliable 4K60 HDR transmission, use high-quality HDMI cables rated for 18 Gbit/s and ensure source devices and displays support HDMI 2.0b and HDCP 2.2 where required. When installing in professional environments, plan cable runs and ventilation to maintain operating conditions and secure the unit within a rack or stable surface.
