Analoge synthesizer Behringer TORO (model 0718-ABE86-EU1)

Behringer TORO is an analog synthesizer designed for music production and live performance. It provides classic analog sound generation with hands‑on controls for shaping oscillators, filters and envelopes. The unit is intended to integrate into studio and stage setups and supports direct audio and MIDI connections to work alongside other controllers, drum machines and mixers.

Advantages

The TORO delivers warm analog tones from its voltage-controlled oscillators and a resonant filter stage, offering precise control over timbre and dynamics. Its front‑panel layout places key parameters within immediate reach for real‑time tweaking during composition or performance. Robust build quality and standard connectivity make it compatible with common studio signal chains and live rigs.

Suitable for

• Studio synthesis and sound design
• Live electronic music performance and improvisation
• Hybrid setups with MIDI controllers, sequencers and DAWs
• Educational use for learning analog synthesis concepts

Key specifications

• Analog signal path with voltage‑controlled oscillators
• Resonant analogue filter with cutoff and resonance control
• Envelope generators for amplitude and filter modulation
• Dedicated front‑panel knobs and switches for real‑time control
• MIDI input and output for external sequencing and control
• Standard audio outputs for integration with mixers and interfaces

How to use

Connect TORO to your audio system using the main outputs and route MIDI from your controller or DAW to synchronize pitch and performance data. Start with a basic patch by selecting an oscillator waveform, set the filter cutoff and resonance to shape the tone, and adjust the envelope attack and release to control note dynamics. Use the panel controls to perform live sweeps and modulations or save parameter settings in your external setup if supported.

Recommendations

For recording, use a quality audio interface to capture the analog output at line level and consider gentle compression or EQ to fit the sound into a mix. During live use, secure settings with a consistent signal chain and test MIDI channel and clock synchronization before performance.
