3M standaard privacyfilter BSF39.6W

The 3M PF15.6W privacy filter is made for widescreen notebooks with a 15.6" (16:9) diagonal display. Actual filter dimensions are 7.639" high x 13.572" wide. The filter uses 3M microlouver privacy technology to limit side viewing so only a person directly in front of the screen can see the image clearly, while passersby see a darkened display. It is reversible for glossy or matte finish and also helps protect the LCD from scratches and abrasions.

Advantages

This privacy filter provides consistent visual quality and a uniform appearance, reducing visual distractions. It delivers clearer, crisper on-screen images compared with many competitive filters. The reversible design lets you choose a glossy look or a matte surface to reduce glare. The easy on / easy off attachment system allows quick installation and removal without tools while also adding a layer of scratch protection to the laptop display.

How to use

Clean the laptop screen with a soft, lint-free cloth before applying the filter. Attach the filter using the included easy on / easy off system according to the manufacturer instructions so the microlouver side faces outward for privacy. If you prefer reduced glare, use the matte side facing you; for a glossier appearance, use the glossy side. Remove the filter by gently releasing the attachment points and lift it off the display.

Recommendations

Use the privacy filter when working in public or high-traffic areas to limit side viewing of sensitive information. Regularly clean the filter with a soft, dry cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners to maintain image clarity and surface protection.
