3M G30NUY veiligheidshelm high-density polyethyleen (HDPE) geel

The 3M G30NUY safety headgear is a lightweight protective helmet made from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) and designed to meet EN 397 industrial safety requirements. With a net weight of 0.31 kg and a high-visibility yellow finish, this headgear provides basic impact protection and increased visibility for personnel working in construction, utilities, manufacturing and other industrial settings. The shell shape and material prioritise durability and resistance to common workplace hazards while remaining compact and easy to wear for extended periods.

Advantages

The HDPE shell offers a balance of strength and low weight, reducing fatigue during prolonged use. Compliance with EN 397 ensures the helmet meets defined performance criteria for shock absorption and penetration resistance. The bright yellow colour improves wearer visibility in both daylight and low-light conditions. At approximately 310 g, the headgear is easy to store and transport and is compatible with a range of accessory attachments and suspension systems to improve fit and stability.

Suitable for

• Construction sites and civil engineering works
• Industrial and factory environments
• Utility and maintenance teams
• Outdoor works where enhanced visibility is required

Key specifications

• Material: High-density polyethylene (HDPE) shell
• Weight: around 0.31 kg
• Colour: high-visibility yellow
• Standards: conforms to EN 397 impact and penetration performance requirements
• Design: compact shell shape for extended wear comfort

How to use

Place the headgear on the head and adjust the internal suspension so the helmet sits level and stable without excessive movement. Use the adjustable headband or ratchet system, if fitted, to achieve a snug but comfortable fit. Ensure the brim does not obstruct vision and that the helmet does not tilt excessively forward or backward. Inspect the shell and suspension for cracks, deformation or worn components before each use and replace any damaged parts immediately. When additional protection or accessories are required, use only compatible attachments recommended by the manufacturer.

Recommendations

Store the helmet away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures to avoid material degradation. Clean with mild soap and water and avoid solvents or abrasive cleaners. Replace the headgear according to workplace procedures or after any significant impact, visible damage, or signs of wear that could affect protective performance.
