3M 4520 beschermingspak wit

3M Protective Coverall 4520 is a lightweight, breathable protective garment made from multiple layers of SMMMS fabric at 43 gsm. Designed for adult use in XL size, the coverall provides protection against hazardous particulates, liquid splash (Type 5/6) and reduces the risk of static discharge while offering a cloth-like feel for extended wear. The garment includes a three-panel hood, knitted cuffs, two-way zip, elasticated waist and ankles, and a distinctive green triangle panel made from the same 43 gsm material for easy identification.

Advantages

The SMMMS construction combines spunbond layers for strength and splash resistance with meltblown layers that form a multilayer microfibre web to filter dry particulates. At 43 gsm the material is soft, highly breathable and lightweight, allowing heat and moisture to escape and enabling longer comfortable wear. The coverall meets EN 1149 for antistatic protection and provides Type 5 dust and Type 6 liquid splash protection, while the 3-panel hood and design features ensure compatibility with other PPE and straightforward donning and doffing.

How to use

Put on the coverall by stepping into the legs, pulling the garment up, inserting arms into sleeves and adjusting the hood over the head. Fasten the two-way zip and adjust the elasticated waist and cuffs for a secure fit. Ensure knitted cuffs are positioned over the wrists and that the hood fits comfortably with other PPE. After use, unfasten the zip and remove the coverall by pulling it away from the body to avoid contaminant contact with skin or clothing; follow your workplace procedures for disposal or decontamination.

Recommendations

Use the 3M 4520 coverall for particulate and splash protection where a balance of comfort and barrier performance is required. Check compatibility with other chemical protective equipment for specific hazardous liquids, and follow applicable workplace and product standards for correct selection and disposal.
