Netwerkkabel ShiverPeaks BS08-41013

The ShiverPeaks BS08-41013 is a 0.5 m Cat8.1 networking cable designed for short-range, high-speed connections. It features F/FTP shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and RJ-45 connectors with gold-plated contacts to ensure reliable signal transmission. Rated for data transfer speeds up to 40000 Mbit/s, this compact cable is suited for linking devices where minimal latency and high bandwidth are required. The vibrant green jacket provides a distinct visual cue in crowded cable runs.

Advantages

F/FTP shielding combines an overall foil with individually shielded pairs to minimise crosstalk and external interference, improving signal integrity in dense networking environments. The gold-plated RJ-45 contacts resist corrosion and maintain low contact resistance for consistent throughput. Its Cat8.1 specification supports very high bandwidth and low latency for demanding applications while the 0.5 m length reduces excess slack and clutter in rack or desktop setups. The cable jacket is coloured for easy identification and routing.

Suitable for

• Short-distance connections between network equipment in racks or switches
• Connecting gaming PCs, consoles or networked storage where high throughput is required
• Workstations and docking stations requiring reliable, high-speed links
• Environments with multiple cables where clear visual identification helps cable management

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat8.1
• Length: 0.5 m
• Shielding: F/FTP (overall foil + individually shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45
• Contact plating: Gold-plated contacts
• Maximum supported data rate: up to 40000 Mbit/s
• Colour: Green

How to use

Plug the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding network ports on your devices, ensuring a secure click for proper contact. Use this 0.5 m cable for direct, short links between equipment such as switches, routers, network interface cards, or consoles. Avoid sharp bends near the connectors and keep the cable away from strong sources of electromagnetic interference where possible to preserve signal quality. For permanent installations, verify that the cable routing does not place mechanical strain on the connectors.

Recommendations

Use the ShiverPeaks Cat8.1 cable for short, high-performance connections; pair it with devices and network hardware that support high bandwidth to fully utilise its capabilities. For tidy installations, run this short cable inside racks or behind desks where its length and colour aid in cable organisation.
