Koellichaam/radiator GRAUGEAR G-M2HS02

The GRAUGEAR G-M2HS02 heatsink is designed to improve thermal management for M.2 solid-state drives. Constructed from aluminum, it increases surface area and promotes heat transfer away from the SSD controller and NAND, helping to maintain sustained performance under load. The slim, low-profile shape fits most M.2 slots and is intended for easy installation without altering standard drive placement.

Advantages

This aluminum heatsink provides improved thermal conductivity and passive cooling without relying on fans or additional power. Its compact profile reduces thermal throttling risk for NVMe and SATA-based M.2 drives during extended heavy use. The design also supports better airflow around the drive and can contribute to longer component life by keeping operating temperatures lower.

Suitable for

• Cooling M.2 NVMe SSDs in desktops and compact PCs
• Reducing thermal throttling during sustained data transfers and gaming
• Upgrading cooling on motherboards with limited airflow
• PC builds where a low-profile, tool-free heatsink is preferred

Key specifications

• Material: aluminum for effective heat conduction
• Form factor: low-profile design suitable for M.2 2280 and similar sizes
• Cooling type: passive heatsink (no fan)
• Compatibility: intended for M.2 solid-state drives (NVMe and SATA M.2 variants)
• Mounting: adhesive or clip-based attachment for straightforward installation

How to use

Power down the system and ground yourself to prevent electrostatic discharge. Remove any existing cover or adhesive from the M.2 SSD and ensure the drive surface is clean and dry. Align the heatsink with the drive so the thermal contact area covers the controller and NAND chips, then attach according to the included mounting method. Reinstall the SSD in the M.2 slot, secure it on the motherboard, and power up the system to verify normal operation.

Recommendations

For best results, use the heatsink in systems with reasonable case airflow and avoid placing additional obstructions directly above the drive. Periodically inspect the attachment and surrounding area for dust buildup and clean as needed to maintain optimal thermal performance.
